Hello my name is Pamela or Pam for short and One Wild Pixie is my social media username. I gave myself the One Wild Pixie name in 2017 after reading a poem which talked about a wild pixie from childhood still living in us as we grow old and how that wild pixie spirit is just waiting for the  one day it can play again. 

Well this is that day. 

This blog will be filled with stories, thoughts, photographs, and ideas for remembering to be a wonder seeker and an everyday creative explorer. 

This blog will be like field notes as I rediscover purpose and passion after major life change.

These past few years in the world have been a bit much on our collective nervous system. I for one am ready to slow my scroll and slow my roll. I'm ready to reclaim calm and quiet. I'm ready to live a creative and contemplative life. I am ready to rediscover the wonder of living. I'm ready to fall in love with life again.

ABOUT ME

Sandwiched between the Florida Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean, I grew up in Coral Springs, Florida where I still reside fifty plus years later.  

I've been married to my best friend for over thirty years.

For the last twenty something years, I've been a stay at home, homeschool mom. My family and children always came first. 

In the Fall of 2022 my last kiddo leaves the nest and my job of mothering is done or at least it's mostly done. 

Now that my children are grown and flown, I have a unique opportunity to create a new chapter in my story for myself.  I will share that journey here.

If I am not home with my two dogs or at my parents house, I can usually be found in the Florida Keys or Walt Disney World. 

Although I am looking forward to traveling more as the world and I reemerge from the last few years.

My hobbies include:  photography, sewing, home decorating, gardening, travel, reading, and writing.
